None of us are strangers when it comes to wearing the cozy and warm fashion plaid trend for fall. No matter what you call it – whether it’s plaid, checkerboard, tartan, or kilt print – this timeless trend will never go out of style. Whether it’s featured on the red carpet or out-and-about, everyone is mad for plaid. Burberry built their entire brand identity around this pattern. Some of the top designers (like Burberry, Chanel, Dior, Gucci) are rocking plaid from head to toe. Not to mention it’s always fun to see new ways designers interpret this statement print each season.
Nothing says FALL quite like a good plaid print. A subtle pattern or bold checks, vibrant colors or muted hues, this is one of the most versatile prints you’ll ever find. Though plaid is appropriate year-round, it’s making an even stronger appearance this fall which I personally am so excited for. There are so many plaid pieces out there including blazers, pants, boots, scarves, hats, shirts, and many more. Since this Scottish staple is featured in basically every store you walk into, it’s simple to find a plaid or check piece that suits your style for 2020. I highly recommend adding a few of these pieces to your fall and winter wardrobe whether you decide to go all out or be more conservative with your plaids!

Leith Windowpane Check Boyfriend Blazer:
I’m simply obsessed with this plaid boyfriend blazer (similar plaid blazer, another similar plaid blazer found here) that features strong shoulders and a straight, boxy fit. I also love the classic windowpane check. Boyfriend blazers and plaids are both major trends for fall and winter 2020, so I definitely recommend investing in this piece you’ll wear for years to come. This blazer runs slightly big, so I’m actually wearing the XXS in these photos, however, order your true size for a more boyfriend-style look.
RE/DONE Ribbed Tank Top:
This chic tank is my favorite tank in my closet (tank also found here, tank also found in white & ribbed tank also found in army green & 10 other colors too, similar tank for less here, similar ribbed tank for less here & similar tank for less also here) I have just about every color. The ribbed fabric and balanced tank straps are guaranteed to flatter most any body type and can be dressed up or down. This is the perfect piece to layer underneath blazers, jackets, and cardigans in the fall and winter months. Also, it comes in 10 beautiful colors so you’re bound to find the perfect one for you! I believe this brand runs slightly small. Plus I didn’t want this tank to be too fitted so I did SIZE UP to a size medium. If you’re wondering what I wear underneath my tank tops: it’s these!
High Waisted Levi’s Denim:
I personally own two pairs of Levi jeans that I wear on repeat and adore. The Levi high waist skinny jean (also found here and here in a darker wash) and the Levi rib cage high-waist jean (also found here in a ripped straight leg style) both in a light blue wash. The fit is impeccable, and I could wear these jeans all day long without getting uncomfortable! These jeans are . The light blue wash in the ones I’m wearing in this post are perfect for spring and summer months, too!
Paris Texas Bootie:
As you know, I’ve featured Paris Texas boots in lots of my previous posts because they’re my all-time favorite boot brand. These embossed croc leather ankle boots by Paris Texas (boots found here in white, found here in snakeskin metallic Terracotta and Paris Texas ankle booties are on major sale here) are so perfect for fall and winter because of the animal print. I have also found some similar booties for less here & booties for less here & another for less in black as well that closely resemble these booties.
Each pair is ironically made in Italy, not Paris, Texas. The brand was actually launched in 2015 not 2019. They are the hottest footwear brand on the market right now. The very first time I wore these boots, I wore them to an event. I was brave because I wasn’t sure how comfortable they would actually be. I knew I would be standing alot and I will tell you they could not be anymore comfortable! Each time I’ve worn them my feet have never hurt. They are the bomb, and I promise you will not be disappointed with your purchase!
