RUFFLES WITH AN EDGE + BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH
I just love a good fashion juxtaposition and this look no doubt is the perfect example of one. I’m wearing the sweetest blouse with lots of feminine stripes, drapes, and ruffles yet has an added edge to it with it’s raw cut hem throughout. Making this striped, ruffled blouse one of my favorite tops as of late. I can easily add a leather jacket or blazer to it to transition into the fall cooler months. And all I can say is that it finally feels like fall here in Texas thank goodness! And the best part is that this amazing top is on sale right now and has been restocked. I think it’s pretty obvious how much I like this striped, ruffled blouse because of how many times you have seen me wear it on instagram so far. I wore it in Mykonos this summer as well as for the rewardStyle #rscitytours event at the rewardStyle headquarters. Each time I have styled it differently (you can see the other ways here and here). I would like us to now turn turn our attention to BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH and my dear friend Cathy’s story. She is a triple negative breast cancer survivor! I am so proud of her strength and courage. Please read here story here. I also have a high school bff that found a lump recently and it ended up being Stage 3 Breast Cancer. She had her mastectomy last week and is recovering. I know she will kick cancer’s ass because she is a total BAD ASS! Please help me in praying for her because I know she will no doubt beat this horrible disease. We must all take care of ourselves. My friends have been after me because I for one was way overdue for my mammogram and finally went just yesterday. I thought I went last summer but as it turns out it was the summer of ’15. We all need to go once a year. Don’t delay and book your appointment today! I registered for mine online right here, it was so easy. I just love the feminine stripes and ruffles yet the raw cut hem throughout makes it super cool and edgy. They not only have a new updated higher back waistband but also shadow distressed and vintage ripped up back pockets. My favorite details of these jeans are the unraveled, frayed hem in the back as well as the chewed up back pockets.
