Workout Wear/Athleisure + Wellness Tips
In this ‘Street Edit’ post with fellow Dallas Fashion Blogger and good friend, Heather Anderson, of So Heather I’m sharing my favorite Workout Wear/Athleisure (from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale) + Wellness Tips. As many of you know I’ve been on our summer ’16 family vacation in the Cayman’s for the past couple weeks. This means I’m in desperate need of some good workouts. And what’s better than new exercise clothes from the #nsale to get you motivated to hit the gym? Especially after enjoying wayyy too many adult beverages, delicious dinners (& desserts too) while traveling. But guess what my friends? That’s what life is all about…having fun and enjoying yourself, but trying to keep it all in moderation.
While on vacation we went to the gym only three times (as a family) and only one other day I walked on the beach for 45 minutes. I don’t really think I can count snorkeling for a short period of time 2 other days as much of a workout either. Typically while I’m on vacation I try to workout way more than this but this trip I just didn’t. Nothing to freak out about but I just know that now that I’m back home I am definitely going to have to make up for lost time. Today, my first time back at the gym, I started with cardio for 22 minutes on the stair climber, followed by a 45 minute spin class, and then some foam rolling and stretching to conclude my workout. Normally on my cardio day I only do the 45 minute spin class. But today I got to the gym early after driving my daughter’s soccer carpool so I chose to use my time wisely. I hate the stair climber but it truly is a calorie torching activity in a short amount of time.
